Indian Land (Fort Mill, S.C.) set a school record last week with a 137-71 rout of Central (Pageland, S.C).

The ringleader was
Terrell Rogers, a 5-foot-9 junior guard, who notched a school record of his own with 56 points. Rogers, who is averaging 29.2 points, drilled 18 field goals and was 17-for-19 from the free throw line.
Rogers also has an eighth grade brother, Darnell, who is a varsity member.
* A recent issue of Sports Illustrated spotlighted the condition of AAU basketball in a feature story about NBA standout Tyson Chandler, who attempted to sponsor his own high school team east of Los Angeles last summer. He drove 120 miles every other day for practices, instituted a mandatory grade point average and offered no perks.
Chandler told writer Lee Jenkins, "I paid for everything because I wanted it all on the up-and-up. And you know what's sad? I couldn't recruit any top guys."

Central Dauphin (Harrisburg, Pa.) outlasted Bishop McDevitt (Harrisburg, Pa.), 83-81, in triple overtime.
Devin Thomas, a 6-8 junior who played the final 20 minutes with four fouls, dominated with 43 points and 23 rebounds.

Cowan (Muncie, Ind.) nipped Burris (Muncie, Ind.), 73-69, in a four-overtime thriller.
* Ronnie Willoughby scored a school-record 46 points to lead Avon Lake (Ohio) to a 94-54 rout of Olmsted Falls (Ohio).

Oak Park (Calif.) freshman Trent Mogavero drilled 10 of his 11 3-point shots and scored 32 points in the first quarter of a freshman-sophomore game against Fillmore (Calif.). He played sparingly the rest of the game.

Cezar Guerrero scored 41 points as St. John Bosco (Bellflower, Calif.) edged Orange Lutheran (Orange, Calif.), 68-65.

Ryan Taylor, a 6-6 senior, compiled 37 points, 20 rebounds and six blocks to help Western (Louisville, Ky.) upset nine-time champion Scott County (Georgetown, Ky.), 83-80, in overtime during the Toyota Classic semifinals.
* Padua Franciscan (Parma, Ohio) lost to Lake Catholic (Mentor, Ohio), 79-68, despite 42 points by sophomore
Tyler Ptacek.

Brett Kingma, a 6-2 senior guard, scored 43 points – including 10 3-pointers – as Jackson (Mill Creek, Wash.) rolled past Edmonds-Woodway (Edmonds, Wash.), 91-74. The University of Oregon recruit sat out the final five minutes.

Wilson (Beckley, W. Va.) handed South Charleston (W.Va.) a 103-97 setback in three overtimes.
* Blue-chip junior basketball player
Ricardo Ledo (6-5) has transferred from South Kent (Conn.) to Notre Dame Prep (Fitchburg, Mass.), according to ZagsBlog.
* Standout freshman basketball players Devin Burleson and Namon Wright have transferred from Price (Los Angeles) to Pacific Hills (Los Angeles), according to the Los Angeles Daily News. They started the school year at Sierra Canyon (Chatsworth, Calif.), making an amazing three high schools in one semester.

Greenwood (Millerstown, Pa.) notched No. 400, while Gary Barns of
Goodrich (Mich.) picked up No. 300.
