22nd Ranked Montgomery Bell Academy was honored Monday morning on the MaxPreps Tour of Champions presented by the Army National Guard.
The Army National Guard set-up their table outside of the auditorium displaying the trophy proudly. As students filed in, Guardmembers were able to greet the students and giveaway t-shirts, key chains,mini- footballs and other cool gifts.
The Tour of Champions presentation was held at the end of their weekly assembly. The head master of Montgomery Bell Academy introduced Steve Spiewak from MaxPreps who explained who and what MaxPreps.com does and then passed the mic. over to Sgt. Nate Veney of the Tennessee Army National Guard. Sgt. Veney expressed his excitement for being apart of the ceremony and how honored he was to present the team and the Coach McGugin with the 2007 MaxPreps Tour of Champions Trophy. . Coach thanked MaxPreps and the Army National Guard for this tremendous honor.
As students were filing out, the National Guard members threw footballs to students and were able to mingle with students and teachers. This school was full of enthusiasm and excitement. The team and school were truly honored to be recognized nationally. Hopefully, we will be back next year to honor Montgomery Bell Academy!!
