Luke Langdon ran for two touchdowns and
Patrick Reardon added two as well as
Orange Lutheran (Orange, Calif.) upset Santa Margarita (Rancho Santa Margarita, Calif.) 54-14 on Saturday.
After taking the lead on a touchdown in the first quarter, the Lancers led 40-7 at the half.
Each side put up seven points during the third quarter, and at the beginning of the fourth it was still a 33 point game.
Orange Lutheran went into the matchup giving up only 13.8 points per game. Santa Margarita's 14 points were well below their season average of 25.3 per game.
The win was a nice bounce back for OL, which lost to Servite last week, 20-19. The loss comes after Santa Margarita defeated Mater Dei 16-7 last week. The win broke Orange Lutheran's two-game losing streak.
In a Trinity game next week Santa Margarita (4-5) takes on JSerra Catholic, and Orange Lutheran (7-2) will go up against Mater Dei also in a Trinity game.
