After an impressive performance Friday night, nobody deserves the honor of the first MaxPreps/USA Football Player of the Week since 2019 more than
Rabun County (Tiger, Ga.) quarterback
Gunner Stockton.
Bouncing back from a Week 1 loss, Stockton led the Wildcats to a 47-14 win over Pace Academy.
Committed to Georgia and considered to be on of the top quarterback prospects in the country, Stockton completed 15 of 25 pass attempts for 404 yards and six touchdowns. He also ran for 108 yards and a score.
Stockton and Rabun County take the field next Friday, Sept. 3 against Eagle's Landing Christian Academy.
