Texas high school girls basketball: Playoff brackets

No. 14 Austin Westlake, No. 17 Wagner and No. 23 Brennan are nationally-ranked squads looking to bring home state titles.

The road to the Alamodome begins Monday after the University Interscholastic League released the Texas high school girls basketball playoff brackets this weekend.

No. 14 Westlake (Austin) is one of the favorites in the Conference 6A Division 2 bracket after finishing the regular season 35-0 behind 6-foot-1 senior post Tamia King, juniors Wynn Thorne and Molly Frazer as well as sophomore Geralynn Byers-Veal. The Chaparrals open the bi-district round Tuesday against Vista Ridge.

In Conference 5A Division 1, No. 17 Wagner (San Antonio) looks to get back to the championship game after falling to Denton Ryan in the 2025 title contest.

The Conference 6A Division 1 field includes No. 23 Brennan (San Antonio) along with 12-time state champion Duncanville and Plano East (Plano) with Class of 2028 standout Arianna Robinson. 

All championship games will be played at the Alamodome in San Antonio and broadcast on the NFHS Network.
