Ethen Knox opened his senior high school football season Friday by rushing for 218 yards and six touchdowns in a little over a half as his Oilers cruised past Warren 76-0.
Knox scored three touchdowns, converted a trio of two-point conversions and piled up over 100 yards on the ground in the first quarter alone, helping his Oilers race to a 30-0 lead.
The second quarter brought more of the same with Knox finding the end zone twice, including a 41-yard touchdown run, to make the score 46-0 at halftime.

Knox scored his final touchdown with eight minutes to go in the third quarter, finding the end zone from 33 yards out. The 6-foot-1, 190-pound back needed just 11 carries to do his damage against Warren.
Oil City also opened the 2022 season against Warren, winning 58-24 as Knox ran for 304 yards and four touchdowns.
As a junior, Knox ran 385 times for 3,705 yards and 41 touchdowns. His yardage total is believed to be the highest in the history of high school football in a 10-game season.
Knox topped the 400-yard mark six times in 2022, breaking the previous record of four held by Derrick Henry.
