Two months after de-committing from Florida, Pagan picked the Tigers over four SEC schools — Florida, Alabama, Georgia and Tennessee, according to the Asheville Citizen-Times.
He is following in the footsteps of Pittsburgh Steelers rookie cornerback Crezdon Butler, who went from Asheville to Clemson. Pagan also hopes to follow the same path as Da'Quan Bowers, the Clemson defensive end who will likely be a top pick in this year's NFL draft.
The 6-foot-4, 270-pound Pagan was named to the Shrine Bowl and U.S. Army All-American Bowl, but couldn't play in either game after he hurt two knee ligaments while filling in as a running back in Asheville's regular-season finale.
Still Pagan told the Citizen-Times that he doesn't plan on redshirting and should be ready for next season.
