Each week during the season (regular and post), there will be a fan-generated contest to tab weekly winners. Each winner receives an award patch for their varsity jacket and a digital badge (below) on their MaxPreps player page.
How does it work? Nominees are selected from statistics submitted on MaxPreps. Coaches who do not have current access may request their free account here. Weekly finalists are released on MaxPreps every Tuesday and voting is conducted in a special poll. Voting ceases at noon on Mondays. The winners (2 per week) are announced the next day along with the next week's nominees.
Participants may vote as many times as they want. It's a competition.

Week 5 Ohio High School Athletes of the Week
* Alyssa Otto, St. Clairsville Girls SoccerSenior
scored six goals (for the third time this season) in a 7-0 win over
East Liverpool to give her 135 for her career, which ranks sixth
all-time in OHSAA history.
* Rob Graves, Cuyahoga Falls FootballJunior
running back carried the ball 32 times for 257 yards and four
touchdowns in a 44-31 win over Brecksville-Broadview Heights.
Week 6 Ohio High School Athlete of the Week Nominees
* Devin Johnson, Springfield (Holland) Football
Junior receiver caught nine passes for 246 yards and five touchdowns (tied for second all-time in OHSAA history) in a 42-14 win over Sylvania Southview.
* Cameron Kells, Milford Football
Senior running back scored seven touchdowns in a 56-20 win over Anderson. Carried the ball 24 times for 251 yards and six touchdowns and caught five passes for 45 yards and a touchdown.
2018 Ohio High School Football Statewide Stat Leaders
* Annalise Harlamert, Coldwater Volleyball
Freshman setter dished out 65 assists in five-set win over New Knoxville. Also had 30 in a four-set win over Celina.
* Hannah Pierce, Rossford Girls Soccer
Junior captain scored five goals in a 5-3 win over Ross and had four goals and ana assist in an 8-1 win over Otsego.
2018 Ohio High School Volleyball Statewide Stat Leaders
* Baron May, New Philadelphia Football
Junior quarterback earns second straight nomination after accounting for seven touchdowns in a 62-33 win over Cambridge. Completed 16-of-27 passes for 267 yards and six touchdowns and carried the ball eight times for 65 yards and a touchdown.
* Jacy Sheldon, Dublin Coffman Volleyball
Senior had 61 assists and 25 digs in a four-set win over Cleveland St. Joseph Academy. Also had 32 and 29 assists in three-set wins over Upper Arlington and Hilliard Davidson, respectively.
2018 Ohio High School Boys Soccer Statewide Stat Leaders
* Phoebe Jackson, Woodmore (Elmore) Girls SoccerJunior goalie made 18 saves in a 4-2 win over Genoa. Also added 10 saves in a 4-0 win over Lake and six saves in a 5-0 win over Port Clinton.
* Jacob Shackelford, Keystone (La Grange) FootballJunior quarterback ran for 293 yards and five touchdowns on 20 carries and completed 10-of-24 passes for 177 yards in a 46-42 win over Black River.

* Joel Lambiotte, Fairland (Proctorville) FootballA week after throwing four six touchdowns in a win over Tolsia (WV), the senior quarterback threw for four more, including the game-winner to Gavin Hunt with 38 seconds left, in a 35-31 win over Athens.
* Davion Daniels, Hubbard FootballSenior quarterback carried the ball 23 times for 223 yards and three touchdowns and completed 9-of-10 passes for 116 yards and three touchdowns in a 48-32 win over Girard.
Week 3 Ohio High School Athletes of the Week
* Cameron Blair & Dante Tucci, Sandy Valley (Magnolia) FootballTandem came up huge in a 50-29 win over Tuscarawas Valley. Blair, a sophomore quarterback, completed 23-of-34 passes for 362 yards and six touchdowns. Through three games he's tossed 12 TDs and zero interceptions. Tucci, a senior receiver, caught nine passes for 210 yards and four touchdowns.

* Emma Ludwig, East Liverpool VolleyballJunior
middle hitter and captain had 16 blocks and 12 kills in a 3-1 win over
previously unbeaten and state-ranked Columbiana Crestview.
* Chase Franken, Columbiana FootballJunior
receiver caught five passes for 190 yards and two touchdowns in a 49-14
win over Leetonia. Has 21 receptions for 589 yards and six touchdowns
through four games.
