Katie Grace Lowery was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two hits in four consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with one run and one RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Tori Walker, who got on base in both of her plate appearances with three stolen bases and three runs. Those three stolen bases gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was AP Virden, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two runs and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Hillcrest fell victim to American Christian Academy and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They took a 3-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of American Christian Academy. Hillcrest has struggled against American Christian Academy recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.
JeNyah Jones spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned runs on seven hits.
Sipsey Valley's victory bumped their record up to 12-15-2. As for Hillcrest, they now have a losing record of 15-16.
