Micah Alejado, quarterback for
Bishop Gorman (Las Vegas, Nev.), is headed into his senior year after an explosive junior campaign. In 15 games, Alejado threw for 3,575 yards, 54 touchdowns and completed 76% of his passes. His team won by more than 30 points in big wins against Corner Canyon (Draper, Utah), Hamilton (Chandler, AZ), and then secured the Nevada state championship with a 70-6 win over Bishop Manogue (Reno).
On Dec. 17, Alejado's team faced off against the undefeated Florida 1A state champions, Chaminade-Madonna (Hollywood, FL) in the GEICO State Champions Bowl Series. Alejado led his team to a 49-14 victory, handing Chaminade-Madonna its only loss of the season.
Alejado holds offers from Hawaii and Portland State and is on the MaxPreps 2022 National Football Player of the Year watch list. With his talent and leadership skills on display, it is likely that more schools will start to take notice.
