The difference between Nos. 1 and 2 is like the difference between being 1 or 1A. In other words, not much.
St. John Bosco (Bellflower, Calif.) and Mater Dei (Santa Ana, Calif.) were tied atop the Composite Rankings last week and neither did anything to diminish that ranking. But the Braves edge the Monrachs by .25 in this week. The season is early and that very well could change as Mater Dei travels to Las Vegas to take on perennial Nevada power Bishop Gorman.
