JOHNSON CITY, N.Y. -
Maine-Endwell (Endwell, N.Y.) snapped the five-game winning streak of
Johnson City (N.Y.), with a 35-15 victory on Saturday.
After taking the lead on a
Darnell Woolfolk touchdown run in the first quarter, the Spartans were up 21-7 at the half.
Maine-Endwell grew its lead to 21 points entering the fourth quarter. ME's lone score in the quarter came on a
Kyle Gallagher touchdown run.
With the win the Endwell school extended its winning streak to 10 games. Maine-Endwell defeated Owego Free Academy 49-6 last week.
The Spartans came into the game allowing 8.1 points per game.
A 55-7 Maine-Endwell victory was the result when the squads faced off last season.
The loss comes after Johnson City defeated Norwich 35-14 last week.
