1. (No. 1 preseason) Montverde Academy (Fla.), 4-0Head coach Kevin Boyle's crew has looked the part of national No. 1 thus far. The latest piece of supporting evidence came Saturday night as the Eagles dismantled defending Florida 3A state champ Providence (Jacksonville). Victories over defending Georgia AAAAAA state champ Norcross, Tift County (Tifton, Ga.) and Tampa Catholic (Fla.) came by an average margin of 34.3 points per game.
2. (2) Findlay Prep (Henderson, Nev.), 11-0The Pilots have vanquished everything in their path early on, averaging more than 105 points per game and winning all but two of their outings by 30 points or more. Findlay swept a pair of games in Canada over the weekend.
3. (5) Mater Dei (Santa Ana, Calif.), 0-0The Monarchs open Monday at Diablo Inferno tournament in Mission Viejo against a traveling team from Australia.
4. (6) Bishop Gorman (Las Vegas), 0-0Gorman opens Tuesday at Faith Lutheran (Las Vegas).

(7) Prime Prep (Dallas), 6-0Head coach Ray Forsett put his team to the test over the extended weekend, playing key games in Houston at the Hoopsgiving Classic and closer to home at the Thanksgiving Hoopfest in Duncanville. Prime Prep notched victories in those events over Justise Winslow and St. John's (Houston), Provine (Jackson, Miss.) and Episcopal (Dallas) to remain unbeaten.
