Each week during the season (regular and post), there will be a fan-generated contest to tab weekly winners. Each winner receives an award patch for their varsity jacket and a digital badge (below) on their MaxPreps player page.
How does it work? Nominees are selected from statistics submitted on MaxPreps. Coaches who do not have current access may request their free account here. Weekly finalists are released on MaxPreps every Tuesday and voting is conducted in a special poll. Voting ceases at noon on Mondays. The winners (2 per week) are announced the next day along with the next week's nominees.
Participants may vote as many times as they want. It's a competition.

Week 4 Ohio High Shool Athletes of the Week
* Emma Ludwig, East Liverpool VolleyballJunior
middle hitter and captain had 16 blocks and 12 kills in a 3-1 win over
previously unbeaten and state-ranked Columbiana Crestview.
* Chase Franken, Columbiana FootballJunior
receiver caught five passes for 190 yards and two touchdowns in a 49-14
win over Leetonia. Has 21 receptions for 589 yards and six touchdowns
through four games.
Week 5 Ohio High Shool Athlete of the Week Nominees
* Trevor Bycznski, Berea-Midpark (Berea) Football
Senior quarterback and Rice University recruit set the school record and recorded the 14th highest total in OHSAA history with 550 passing yards in a 45-38 loss to Steele. Bycznski completed 30-of-44 passes for three touchdowns and also ran for a touchdown.
* Alyssa Otto, St. Clairsville Girls Soccer
Senior scored six goals (for the third time this season) in a 7-0 win over East Liverpool to give her 135 for her career, which ranks sixth all-time in OHSAA history.

* Rob Graves, Cuyahoga Falls Football
Junior running back carried the ball 32 times for 257 yards and four touchdowns in a 44-31 win over Brecksville-Broadview Heights.
* Michele Rabbitt, Jackson (Massillon) Volleyball
Senior outside hitter had back-to-back 30-kill games in wins over Lake and GlenOak. Has 279 kills on the season.
2018 Ohio High School Volleyball Statewide Stat Leaders
* Baron May, New Philadelphia Football
Junior quarterback carried the ball 28 times for 232 yards and three touchdowns and completed 14-of-28 passes for 161 yards and two touchdowns in a 38-21 win over Canton Central Catholic.
* Kenzie Brookover, Smithville Volleyball
Senior captain and setter had back-to-back 54-assist games in a loss to Waynedale and a win over Rittman.
2018 Ohio High School Boys Soccer Statewide Stat Leaders
* Bryce Toomire, Clay (Portsmouth) Boys SoccerJunior had his second hat trick this season with three goals in a 4-0 win over Ironton St. Joseph. Also had a goal and assist in a 4-3 win over Lucasville Valley. Has 13 goals and seven assists for the Panthers who have won six straight.
* Evie Bennett, Zane Trace (Chillicothe) VolleyballSenior captain and outside hitter had 72 kills as the Pioneers ran their win streak nine straight with victories over Logan, Piketon, Westfall and Nelsonville-York.

Sophomore had hat-tricks (three goals) in wins over Washington Courthouse, Piketon and Logan Elm.

* Joel Lambiotte, Fairland (Proctorville) FootballA week after throwing four six touchdowns in a win over Tolsia (WV), the senior quarterback threw for four more, including the game-winner to Gavin Hunt with 38 seconds left, in a 35-31 win over Athens.
* Davion Daniels, Hubbard FootballSenior quarterback carried the ball 23 times for 223 yards and three touchdowns and completed 9-of-10 passes for 116 yards and three touchdowns in a 48-32 win over Girard.
Week 3 Ohio High Shool Athletes of the Week
* Cameron Blair & Dante Tucci, Sandy Valley (Magnolia) FootballTandem
came up huge in a 50-29 win over Tuscarawas Valley. Blair, a sophomore
quarterback, completed 23-of-34 passes for 362 yards and six touchdowns.
Through three games he's tossed 12 TDs and zero interceptions. Tucci, a
senior receiver, caught nine passes for 210 yards and four touchdowns.
