With the playoffs underway, it shouldn't be a shocker to learn that this has been a helter-skelter week in the power rankings. The action included a dizzyingly high 109-point combined score from Norfolk Catholic and Archbishop Bergan.
Welcome
The Roncalli Catholic offense has been a force to be reckoned with this season, and last week was no different. The final score between it and Mount Michael Benedictine was a 44 - 8 blowout in Roncalli Catholic's favor. One star in particular for Roncalli Catholic was senior Alex Rodgers, who rushed for 177 yards and three touchdowns. Thanks to its success, Roncalli Catholic cracked into the power rankings and now occupies the 19th spot.
Can't Touch This
Scottsbluff's 69 - 21 win over Ralston last week had a lot to do with the leadership of junior Sabastian Harsh. Harsh ran for 170 yards and also punched in three touchdowns. That performance made Harsh one of the best players in the power rankings last week.
This Week's Big Showdown
The clash of the power ranking titans last week was between Grand Island (16th in the power rankings) and Omaha North (22nd). Grand Island claimed a 38 - 24 victory over Omaha North. Grand Island had two big standouts, as senior Cole Evans threw for 167 yards and three touchdowns, while senior John Reilly found the end zone on one run and one reception.
Next Week's Big Game
