Maine-Endwell (Endwell, N.Y.) snapped the four-game winning streak of
Depew (N.Y.), with a 35-13 victory on Saturday.
After taking the lead on a
Darnell Woolfolk touchdown run in the first quarter, the Spartans were up 27-7 at the half.
Maine-Endwell expanded its lead to 28 points entering the fourth quarter. ME's lone score in the quarter came on a Woolfolk touchdown run.
The Endwell school went into the matchup giving up only 13.0 points per game. The Wildcats came in surrendering 17.9 points per game this season.
The loss comes after Depew defeated Geneva 29-9 last week.
Depew (9-3) goes up against Maine-Endwell in a playoff game matchup next week, while Maine-Endwell (13-0) locks horns with Depew also in a playoff game.
