Don Bosco Prep is ranked No. 1 in the country by the
MaxPreps Xcellent 25 National Football Rankings. But the Ironmen aren't the most likely team to remain undefeated.
Warren Central (Indianapolis, Ind.) and Harrison (Farmington, Mich.) hold down the honor of having the best chance of finishing the regular season undefeated. Warren Central, ranked No. 17 with an 8-0 record, has just one game left to go on its schedule against Center Grove. According to the Freeman Rankings, Warren Central has a 99 percent chance of defeating Center Grove.
Meanwhile, Harrison, ranked No. 19 with a 7-0 record, has one more game on the schedule against Farmington. Harrison also has a 99 percent chance of winning that game, based on the Freeman Rankings.
So where is Don Bosco Prep? The Ironmen come in No. 12 among the undefeated teams, due mainly to the fact that they have four games left on their schedule and have to play a strong St. Joseph Regional team. Don Bosco Prep is listed with a 93 percent chance of winning that game and a 90 percent chance of finishing the season unbeaten.
