The Wisconsin Basketball Coaches Association has released semifinalists for the annual Ms. Basketball award, which will be presented to the state's best senior at the WIAA state tournament in March.
The semifinalist list includes 10 players, with five finalists to be released after the regular season.

Maya Kovacic, 5-8, Brookfield EastKovacic, a University of St. Thomas commit, averages 18.9 points, 4.5 rebounds, 3.2 assists and 2.9 steals per game for the Spartans, 13-4 overall and ranked No. 9 in the Division 1 MaxPreps Coaches Poll.
The Minnesota recruit is averaging 27.2 points per game (among the state leaders), along with 9.1 rebounds, 3.3 assists, and 3.3 steals per game for the 18-1 Warhawks, No. 2 in the latest Division 1 coaches poll.
Mikaia Litza, 5-8, Wauwatosa EastLitza, a DePaul University commit, tallies 17.6 points, 6.9 assists, 5.4 rebounds and 2.3 steals per game for the undefeated Red Raiders (19-0), ranked No. 1 in the Division 1 MaxPreps/WBCA Coaches Poll. Tosa East is riding a 30-game winning streak, the longest in the state.
