Class of 2028 wide receiver
Roye Oliver III of
Hamilton (Chandler, Ariz.) committed to USC on Friday. The four-star pass catcher was named 2025 MaxPreps National Sophomore of the Year after hauling in 92 receptions for 1,839 yards and 29 receiving touchdowns.
Oliver broke eight school records last season including most receiving yards in a game with 284. He went over 200 yards three times last year, including 210 yards and two touchdowns in a win over rival Basha (Chandler) in the MaxPreps Game of the Week in October.
Thanks in part to Oliver's efforts, Hamilton reached the Open Division semifinals and were ranked nationally for part of the 2025 season.

Oliver comes from a family of athletes and his younger brother
Roman Oliver was second on Hamilton in receiving yards as a freshman in 2025.
The USC pledge ran against the family tide as his mother, father, grandmother and grandfather all competed collegiately at Arizona State, which sits just 18 miles from Hamilton.
In two seasons, Oliver has 135 catches for 2,700 yards and 40 receiving touchdowns. He also averaged 21.4 yards per punt return in 2025 with two touchdowns.
