2019 Polynesian Bowl will feature some big-time players

The Polynesian Bowl is becoming a marquee event for high school football. It includes some of the best players from the Class of 2018, running from Jan. 15-20.

MaxPreps national football editor Zack Poff and Myckena Guerrero will be there all week covering the festivities, and organizers announced Wednesday the lineup of the 2019 Polynesian Bowl.

Featuring a Who's Who of high school football, the 2018 Polynesian Bowl features some of the best players in the country, and things won't be changing in 2019.

Notable names also booked for 2019 Polynesian Bowl

• 5-star ATH — Bru McCoy III, Mater Dei (Santa Ana, Calif.)

• 5-star DT — Ishmael Sopsher, Amite (La.)

• 5-star LB — Henry To'oto'o, De La Salle (Concord, Calif.)

• 5-star DT — Faatui Tuitele, St. Louis (Honolulu)

• 5-star S — Brian Williams, Bishop Dunne (Dallas)

• 4-star CB — Chris Steele, St. John Bosco (Bellflower, Calif.)

• 4-star RB — Devyn Ford, North Stafford (Stafford, Va.)

• 4-star WR — Kyle Ford, Orange Lutheran (Orange, Calif.)

• 4-star LB — Mase Funa, Mater Dei (Santa Ana, Calif.)

• 4-star QB — Grant Gunnell, St. Pius X (Houston)

• 4-star DT — Matthew Pola-Mao, Mountain Pointe (Phoenix)

• 4-star CB — Max Williams, Serra (Gardena, Calif.)
