SECOND TEAM OFFENSE

Conner Purnell, WR, 6-2, 185, Downey (Modesto)
Purnell caught 62 passes for 1,101 yards and 13 TDs.
Modesto Bee all-district team.

Zachary Moreno, WR, 6-4, 185, Le Grand
Moreno was third in the section with 1,435 yards receiving. He also had 21 TDs for a team that played for a state championship.
Southern All-League selection.

Ryan Wood, WR, 6-2, 175, Stagg (Stockton)
Wood made big catches all year, which included 12 touchdown receptions.

Nate Iese, TE, 6-2, 250, Sheldon (Sacramento)
Iese was a solid run blocker but also caught 42 passes for 522 yards and seven TDs.

Modesto Bee all-district team.

Carl Nahigan, OL, 6-0, 265, St. Mary's (Stockton)

James Sams, RB, 5-10, 175, Los Banos
The junior rushed the ball 210 times for 1,872 yards and 20 TDs.
Modesto Bee Offensive Player of the Year.

Javis Blalock, RB, 5-7, 150, Rio Vista
Blalock averaged a state's best 18.2 yards per carry in 2011.
Daily Republic Offensive Player of the Year. 

Melvin Mason, RB, 5-11, 200, RB, Vacaville
Mason rushed for nearly 2,000 yards and helped the Bulldogs to a section title.
Daily Republic All-Region Team.

Brandon Monroe, ATH, 6-1, 185, Del Oro (Loomis)
Monroe rushed for 1,662 yards, had 283 yards receiving, and 56 total tackles this season.
First Team All-Metro by the Sacramento Bee.

Kurtis Bettencourt, K, 5-7, 175, Hilmar
Bettencourt nailed a 41-yard field goal to win the D-IV section title.
Modesto Bee all-district team.
