18. (20) Muskegon (Mich.), 20-0Class A state tournament play begins Monday for the Big Reds. Muskegon capped a 20-0 regular season by thrashing River Rouge 62-38 last Thursday.
19. (21) Carmel (Ind.), 19-1The two-time defending Class 4A champions open state tournament play Wednesday against Zionsville. Dangerous Hamilton Southeastern (Fishers) and North Central (Indianapolis) are also slotted in Carmel's sectional.

Paul VI beat then-No. 20 DeMatha in the Washington Catholic Athletic Conference tournament final Tuesday, then played its way through the VISAA Division I state tournament and topped undefeated and then-No. 15 Cape Henry Collegiate (Virginia Beach) in the championship game.
