Video: Xcellent 25 High School Football RankingsCarol City makes the biggest move in this week's Top 25 after beating Miami Central. In
the biggest game last weekend, Carol City (Miami) flexed its muscle beating Miami
Central 36-28 to win the district 16-6A title. The win moved the Chiefs
up seven spots to No. 5 as they claimed their first district title since
2015.
Nayquan Wright rushed for nearly 100 yards and two scores in the win and
Travis McNichols' pick-six in the fourth quarter ended up being the difference.
There's a good chance these two teams see each other again in the Florida 6A
state playoffs and the winner of that potential matchup will be the
favorite to win the state title. The loss dropped Miami Central seven
spots to No. 11.
See the video above for a complete look at this week's Xcellent 25 rankings presented by the Army National Guard. The CIF Southern Section Division-I playoff bracket was announced earlier today and features four teams ranked in the Top 25.

Ryan Hilinski and
Orange Lutheran (Orange, Calif.) in the opening round on Friday.
Mater Dei (Santa Ana, Calif.) is the three-seed and faces

Oaks Christian (Westlake Village, Calif.) is the four seed and opens with
Chaminade (West Hills, Calif.) with a potential quarterfinal matchup against a very good
JSerra Catholic (San Juan Capistrano, Calif.) team waiting.
The playoffs begin in Ohio and No. 23

No. 21
Archbishop Hoban (Akron, Ohio) begins its quest for a fourth straight state title Friday against
Mayfield (Ohio). The Knights have won 24 games in a row and will be the favorites in the Ohio Division-II bracket.

Warren Central (Indianapolis) had no trouble with
Ben Davis (Indianapolis), the defending 6A state champions, pulling away with a 21-7 second on the way to a 49-28 win.
Romeir Elliott continued his impressive season, totaling over 250 yards of offense and four scores.
Jayden George threw for nearly 300 yards and
