Ahmad Hudson of
Ruston (La.) announced his commitment to newly-hired head coach Lane Kiffin and LSU via social media Sunday.
Hudson is the top dual-sport athlete in the Class of 2027. He is regarded as the No. 1 tight end and top 20 prospect overall on the gridiron while also being viewed as a top 25 basketball recruit.
Listed at 6-foot-7, Hudson earned first team MaxPreps Junior All-America honors after leading Ruston to the Division I Non-Select championship game. In a losing effort, he earned MVP honors after catching six passes for 169 yards and a touchdown.

On the hardwood, Hudson earned MaxPreps Louisiana Player of the Year honors and was named a third team MaxPreps Junior All-America selection after putting up 19.7 points, 13.4 rebounds, 2.7 blocks and 2.0 assists per outing.
Hudson delivered a heroic performance in a state championship game setback, piling up 32 points, 24 rebounds, seven blocked shots and four steals in a 63-60 loss to
Zachary.
The two-sport standout is among the front-runners for MaxPreps National Athlete of the Year honors in 2025-26.
