The New York State Public High School Athletic Association Section 9 football playoffs are underway.
The championship games for Classes A and B are scheduled for Nov. 8 while the Class AA, C and 8-Man championships will be determined on Nov. 9.
Dietz Stadium, home of the Kingston Tigers, will serve as the host site for the championship games in Classes A, C and 8-Man while the Class AA and B title contests will be settled at Faller Stadium in Middletown.
Champions in 2018 include Newburgh (AA), Cornwall (A), Marlboro (B), Chester (C) and Tri Valley (8-Man). Newburgh and Cornwall will be attempting to win their sixth and ninth straight Section 9 titles respectively as Marlboro goes after its third straight Section 9 championship.
