Neillsville wins Division 4 crown Neillsville won its second state title in team history, topping
Albany/Monticello 43-40 in the Division 4 state championship game on Saturday at the Resch Center in Green Bay.
The Warriors sealed the win by making seven of eight free throw attempts over the final 3:39 of the contest.
Freshman
Eden Marg scored a game-best 16 points and added 10 rebounds. Also reaching double figures was junior Braelyn Anding, who netted 10 points.
Other key contributors for WBCA Hall of Fame head coach John Gaier and the Warriors included juniors
Tessa Warren (6 points, 14 rebounds) and
Madilyn Davel (5 points, 3 steals).
Albany/Monticello's top performers included senior
Molly Olson (8 points, 6 steals, 4 assists) and freshman
Emersen Butts (8 points, 8 assists, 4 steals). The Space Stallions end the year with a 27-3 record.
