For the second time this year, DeSoto as moved to the top of the MaxPreps southwest region football computer rankings.
DeSoto jumped past Mountain Pointe and Allen to take over the No. 1 spot. Meanwhile, Mountain Pointe stayed at No. 2 and Allen dropped to No. 3.
College Station was the highest debuting team as it entered the rankings this week at No. 13.
The regional rankings are based on the MaxPreps National Football Computer Rankings, presented by the Army National Guard. The Southwest region includes teams from Texas, Oklahoma, New Mexico and Arizona.
