Since 2006, 18 native Hawaiians have been drafted into the National Football League. That's a healthy number, considering Hawaii is the eighth-smallest and 11th-least populous state. After the fun facts see a chart below with every Hawaii high school alum taken since 2006 and where they went to school.
* Nine of the 18 drafted were in the first two rounds, including two in the first round: Defensive tackle Tyson Alualu and quarterback Marcus Mariota, both of
St. Louis (Honolulu).
* Alualu was selected 10th in the 2010 draft by the Jaguars and Marcus Mariota was the second pick in 2015 by the Titans.
* Six were selected in the second round, led by linebacker
Manti Te'o of Punahou (Honolulu), selected 38th overall in 2013 by the Chargers.* St. Louis and
Kahuku have had two players each drafted.
* Of those drafted from Hawaii, 10 were Pac-12 Conference products.
