The Warriors knocked off perennial Oklahoma small-school powerhouse Cascia Hall 35-18 to win the Class 3A state title. Running back
Sheldon Wilson led the offense with 3,335 yards rushing and a
state-record 64 total touchdowns. He had back-to-back playoff games with 390 yards rushing and he finished his career as the state's all-time leading rusher with 7,774 yards. The state championship is the first in school history for the Warriors, who also received strong quarterback play from
Tyler Melton with 1,786 yards passing and 21 touchdowns.
Wes Satoe led the defense with 169 tackles while
Bert Kyle led a defensive secondary that picked off 32 passes with 11 of his own.
