Video: Umpire busts out sick dance moves
See how a California umpire dazzled the crowd recentlyDon't be surprised if Utah County schools sweep baseball state titles in Utah's top two classifications again this season. The latest MaxPreps Top 10 rankings for Class 5A and Class 4A in Utah show a slew of Utah County schools dominating at the top.
But let's look at things by regions this week. Which regions are the best in each division?
Salem Hills is the top-ranked team both in Class 4A and statewide and it seems well positioned to claim a second state title in four seasons. The Skyhawks (23-2) average 8.4 runs per game while allowing just 3.1 runs. And when it comes to Class 4A overall, Region 8 (which Salem Hills is part of) has more teams in the top 10 than the others.
Orem and Timpanogos are right behind Salem Hills and they hail from Region 7. The Tigers (21-3) have won 20 of their last 21 games behind clutch hitting from Kevin Balser and Jake Herman and dominant pitching from Paxton Schultz.
Cottonwood (20-4), Class 5A's top-ranked team, is the only school preventing Utah County from completely taking over the top half of the Class 5A rankings. And it's the only non-Region 4 team in the top five, as American Fork, Lehi, Lone Peak and Pleasant Grove round out the Top five. Their success has made Region 4 arguably the toughest top-to-bottom region in the state.
Let's take a look at which regions have earned the bragging rights in each division, sorted by the
MaxPreps Utah Baseball Computer Rankings presented by the Army National Guard.

Cottonwood is the top 5A team in the state. But its Region 3 isn't the best overall.
