With no Texas teams in action last week, the Southwest Region rankings look fairly similar to last week's except for one addition.
Mountain Pointe (Phoenix), which easily won its season opener 66-13 over Reed (Sparks, Nev.), moved into this week's rankings at No. 13. The top 12 teams in the rankings remained the same from last week. Salpointe Catholic (Tucson, Ariz.), which moved up to No. 19 from 25, is the only other team to play a game last week.
