Mater Dei (Santa Ana, Calif.) upset
St. Bonaventure (Ventura, Calif.) 21-0 on Saturday.
The Monarchs were up 7-0 at the half after taking the lead on a
Chase Forrest touchdown pass to
Jonathan Lockett in the second quarter.
The loss snapped the Seraphs' 7-game winning streak.
Mater Dei's most effective player was Team. He kicked three extra points.
MD went into the matchup giving up only 16.0 points per game. The zero points that St. Bonaventure ended with were well below its average of 31.9 coming into the game.
The loss comes after St. Bonaventure defeated Santa Margarita 27-21 last week.
