Junior running back Tre Mason rushed for 181 yards on just 15 carriers and scored two touchdowns to power Park Vista to a 45-7 rout of Palm Beach Central in a district 8-6A game Friday night at GL Homes Stadium in Lake Worth.
“A lot of kids did real well,” Park Vista coach Brian Dodds said. “Our offense scored on its first six possessions in the first half, and I don’t ever remember us doing that.I give credit to the entire offense.”
With less than 5 minutes into the game, the Cobras led 14-0 thanks to a Brendan Meyers three-yard touchdown catch and a Mason 14-yard touchdown run.
The Cobras would later put the game out of reach when senior Demaris Freeman ran a for 57 yards to score a touchdown, which put the Cobras up 31-7 before the half.
