2010 notes: Don't expect an instant turnaround, but Poteet did itself a favor bringing in coach Jackson, who ran a successful program at Lone Oak (84-37 overall record) before moving to the Metroplex. One of Jackson's first moves was to switch last year's QB, Crumby, to WR, to take advantage of his "good speed," Jackson said. He'll line up with WR Velasquez (46-623, 5 TDs), the team leader in yards and TDs the last two seasons. The team will play a lot of younger players, like in '09, when DL Firstley, S Graham, OL Bass and LB Suits (158 tackles) started as sophomores.
