Buford finished the high school football season in Georgia at No. 1 in the MaxPreps computer rankings state after winning the Class AAAAAA state championship game over
Carrollton 28-21.
In addition to taking the top spot in Georgia, the Wolves (15-0) also finished ranked No. 1 nationally. Buford won its five playoff games by an average of 23.2 points per game. Senior quarterback
Dayton Raiola finished with 26 passing touchdowns against just four interceptions while adding six rushing scores.
Carrollton (14-1) finished No. 2 in the state and No. 5 in the nation. The Trojans were led by a freshman quarterback in
C.J. Cypher, who threw 26 touchdown passes. Cypher already holds double-digit offers including Georgia and Miami.

Carver (Columbus) in Class AA,
