Daniel Bangura continues to churn out yards and break state records in the process.
The 5-foot-10, 170-pound running back rushed for 451 yards and four touchdowns in a 44-21 win over Danville on Friday to break the single-season Ohio state record for rushing yards. The 451 is also believed to be a state playoff mark as well, according to Eric Frantz, managing editor of MaxPreps partner
JJHuddle.com.
With his eighth game of more than 300 yards, Bangura now has 3,789 yards and 51 touchdowns rushing this season for the 9-3 Warriors. Both totals
lead the nation.
Though not a big receiving threat out of the backfield, Bangura has also had good success. His lone reception of the year went for 50 yards and a score. His 53 total touchdowns leads the nation among 11-man players as well.
