Four-time defending Montana state champion
Glacier (Kalispell) heads to the inaugural MaxPreps Flag Football Showdown on Sept. 11-12 looking to prove itself as one of the nation's most successful emerging programs.
Head coach Mark Kessler's Wolfpack finished 11-2 last season while capturing another state title, extending a run of four consecutive championships. Although the sport has yet to receive state sanctioning, Glacier has established itself as the standard-bearer with support from the Atlanta Falcons helping fuel the program's growth.
"(We want to help) push flag football forward in the state of Montana, opening that door for future Montana athletes, whatever they might be,"
Kessler added. "Our goal is simply that we want to go compete. It's not
about how good we are in August, it's about how good we are in October.
And with that, we've been dominant in October."

Replacing Montana Player of the Year
Karley Allen will be the team's biggest challenge but Glacier returns an experienced nucleus on both sides of the ball. Nika Wangerin anchors a veteran defense alongside fellow seniors Kylie Blodgett, Briar McShane, Lilyana Piezga-Hutcheson and
Lanee Anderson.
Offensively, junior receivers Remi Osler and Addison Kauffman provide production after combining for 967 receiving yards and 12 touchdowns last season. Junior Olivia Ronngren and
Sophia Frederick also return. Sophomore Olivia Banzet emerged as a playmaker during the postseason.
Glacier enters the national showcase with a championship pedigree and an opportunity to demonstrate that Montana's best can compete with the country's elite.
