Jake Browning, Folsom (Calif.)
View on YouTubeBrowning threw six touchdown passes in a 56-13 win over Franklin (Elk Grove, Calif.) to give him 70 touchdown passes on the season. He was 20 of 30 in the game for 354 yards to give him 4,300 yards on the season. Browning also has 15,285 yards and 208 touchdowns in his career.
Josh Rosen, St. John Bosco (Bellflower, Calif.)
Rosen has been solid and steady every week for St. John Bosco and last week in a 48-7 playoff win over Norco was no different. He completed 19 of 30 passes for 284 yards and two touchdown passes. For the season, Rosen has completed 173 of 272 passes for 2,789 yards and 25 touchdowns with just two interceptions.
Kyler Murray, Allen (Texas)
View on YouTubeDeSoto limited Murray to just 96 yards passing on seven completions in 23 attempts and no touchdowns, but he rushed 25 times for 194 yards and three touchdowns in a 25-22 victory over DeSoto. His 46-yard touchdown run and 2-point conversion pass tied the game in the fourth quarter to set up the game-winning field goal as time expired. Murray has 1,094 yards on 105 carries with 21 touchdowns for the season and he has passed for 3,471 yards (197 of 313) with 38 touchdowns.
Tate Martell, Bishop Gorman (Las Vegas)
The sophomore quarterback has come up big in Bishop Gorman's last two playoff games. He completed nine of 12 passes for 191 yards and three touchdowns in a 52-7 win over Centennial and he completed eight of 12 passes for 237 yards and four scores in a 56-6 win over Arbor View. For the year, Martell has completed 98 of 156 passes for 2,145 yards and 33 touchdowns for the No. 1 team in the Xcellent 25.
Maurice Alexander, Washington (Miami)
Alexander has been the sparkplug for undefeated Washington, as he has completed 126 of 180 passes for 2,338 yards and 24 touchdowns with just three interceptions. He has also run for 308 yards on 63 carries with five scores.
Brandon Wimbush, St. Peter's Prep (Jersey City, N.J.)
View on YouTubeWimbush put the Marauders into the Non-Public Group 4 championship game with a huge performance in a 31-14 win over Bergen Catholic. He completed 25 of 39 passes for 430 yards and four touchdowns. For the season, Wimbush has completed 174 of 233 passes for 3,002 yards and 35 touchdowns.
Sihiem King, Colquitt County (Moultrie, Ga.)
King has come up big in Colquitt County's last two playoff games, scoring five touchdowns in each. He carried just seven times in a 62-12 win over Rockdale County for 158 yards and he added 147 yards on 17 carries in a 51-30 win over Dacula. King has 1,655 yards and 30 touchdowns on 196 carries for the season.
Kylan Johnson, Skyline (Dallas)
Skyline is in contention for a state championship thanks in large part to Johnson, who has completed 137 of 194 passes for 2,105 yards and 31 touchdowns with no reported interceptions. He also has rushed 66 times for 332 yards and 10 touchdowns.
Brady Davis, Starkville (Miss.)
Davis has thrown for at least 200 yards in 10 games this year in leading Starkville to a No. 1 ranking in Mississippi. In the postseason, Davis has thrown for 322 yards and five touchdowns against Clinton, 256 yards against Tupelo and 200 yards against Southaven. For the season, Davis has completed 178 of 301 passes for 3,127 yards and 39 touchdowns.
Mitchell Guadagni, Hudson (Ohio)
View on YouTubeHudson has been one of the surprise teams in the Ohio Division I state playoffs, reaching the semifinals against St. Edward. Guadagni has led the way as he has rushed 128 times for 1,004 yards and six touchdowns while completing 162 of 271 passes for 2,453 yards and 36 touchdowns. He had over 100 yards passing and 100 yards rushing in each of Hudson's last two playoff wins, a 28-23 victory over St. Ignatius and a 41-20 win over Mentor.
