Imperial on Saturday, Trujillo completed 31 of 36 attempts for 376 yards and six touchdowns without an interception. She broke the previous record of 9,202 held by
Victory Bragg of
St. Mary's (Stockton, Calif.) that was established in 2024.
For the season, Trujillo completed 77.6 percent of her attempts with 112 touchdowns, tying her with
Makena Cook of
Orange Lutheran (Orange, Calif.) for most in the country. Her two-year totals stand at 14,297 passing yards – already the seventh-best career total in the sport's short history – with 180 TDs.

Trujillo wasn't the only Vincent Memorial (23-6) standout breaking records during the Scots' championship season. Her top target
Jessica Manriquez finished with 3,702 receiving yards, which tops the previous national record of 3,284 established by Jessie Giacomazzi of
Agoura (Calif.) in 2024.
Girls flag football has been a sanctioned sport in California since 2023 and is the fastest-growing sport in the state, according to CIF participation census data. Fifteen other states feature the sport in sanctioned competition.
