Although we are just a few weeks into a new Nebraska prep sports season, there have been plenty of terrific individual performances take place on the playing field, court and diamond already to date. And there are plenty more to come.
Below we take a look at some of the great moments already unleashed on the Cornhusker State's high school sports fans. From multiple home runs in a softball outing to thunderous kills and breathtaking digs on the volleyball court and running backs tearing up the gridiron all for the sake of getting the nose of the football to touch that white line, Nebraska's prep sensations have not disappointed.

1. Wyatt Mazour, Boone Central/Newman Grove (Albion) FootballIt's hard to say who was more tuckered out following the Cardinals' 31-14 triumph over fellow football power Columbus Scotus – Mazour or the Shamrock defense and special teams unit for having to chase the 5-9, 195-pound signal caller all over the field on opening night, Aug. 29. Mazour rushed for 171 yards and threw for 244 more in piling up 415 total yards and four touchdowns collectively. But his punishing performance on Scotus didn't stop there.
