Selections are based on team success, individual production and local,
regional and state honors from the recently-completed season. Potential
at the college and professional level is not a primary consideration.
Players in post-graduate and non-scholastic programs are not eligible
for inclusion.

Zoe Brooks, St. John-Vianney (Holmdel, N.J.)
5-8 | Point guard | Class of 2023 | North Carolina StateThe Lancers' floor general averaged 23.0 points, 6.6 rebounds, 4.2 assists and 5.8 steals per game for the No. 9 team in the MaxPreps Top 25. Brooks helped the team to a 32-1 record and a berth in the Non-Public A championship game. In the South Jersey Non-Public A finals, she scored 33 points, including 23 in the second half and the game winner, in a 63-61 victory over Paul VI (Haddonfield).
Breya Cunningham, La Jolla Country Day (La Jolla, Calif.)
6-4 | Center | Class of 2023 | ArizonaIn an era of 3-point shooting, the Torreys' post is a throwback — a true big. She can take over a game in the paint and steps up when the lights shine brightest for the No. 12 team in the MaxPreps
Top 25. The future Wildcat averaged 18.4 points, 10.3 rebounds and 2.7 blocks per night while leading LJCD to a 29-4 mark and San Diego Section Open Division title.
Hannah Hidalgo, Paul VI (Haddonfield, N.J.)
5-7 | Point guard | Class of 2023 | Notre DameNon-stop motor that propelled the Eagles to a 21-3 record and No. 14 slot in the MaxPreps Top 25. Hidalgo averaged 29.7, 6.7 rebounds, 5.0 assists and an amazing 7.4 steals during her final season for father and coach Orlando Hidalgo. She showed out at the McDonald's All American Game, breaking Sabrina Ionescu's scoring mark, dropping 26 points and tying the record of eight steals.
MAXPREPS NATIONAL PLAYER OF THE YEAR
Juju Watkins, Sierra Canyon (Chatsworth, Calif.)
6-0 | Guard | Class of 2023 | USCThe two-time MaxPreps National Player of the Year led the Trailblazers to a 31-1 record against a challenging national schedule. And while they fell short of winning their second straight CIF Open title, Watkins was the best player on the floor. She averaged 28 points, 14 rebounds and 3.7 assists as Sierra Canyon sits at No. 5 in the MaxPreps Top 25.
Mikaylah Williams, Parkway (Bossier City, La.)
6-0 | Guard | Class of 2023 | LSUAveraged 17.4 points, 7.1 rebounds, 4.2 assists and 2.6 steals per game. She poured in 34 points to lead Parkway to an 80-57 win over Ponchatoula in the state title game. In the McDonald's All American game, she showed off her versatility with 15 points, five boards and four steals.

Jaloni Cambridge, Ensworth (Nashville, Tenn.)
5-6 | Point guard | Class of 2024 | UndecidedLast year's MaxPreps National Sophomore of the Year continued her impressive career, averaging 26.9 points, 7.6 rebounds, 4.3 steals and 3.8 assists for the 29-4 Tigers. A three-time state Division II-AA Miss Basketball honoree, she holds offers from schools like Baylor, Connecticut, LSU, Oregon, South Carolina and Tennessee among others.
Jadyn Donovan, Sidwell Friends (Washington, D.C.)
6-0 | Forward | Class of 2023 | DukeThe future Blue Devil led the Quakers to a 28-3 record, DCSAA title and No. 7 spot in the MaxPreps Top 25 against one of the nation's toughest schedules. She averaged a team-high 14.8 points and 8.2 rebounds while adding 3.2 assists and 2.0 steals per game.
Joyce Edwards, Camden (S.C.)
6-2 | Forward | Class of 2024 | UndecidedA three-sport standout for the Bulldogs, she led the hoops squad to a 29-2 record, Class AAA title while averaging 28.5 points, 13.6 rebounds, 2.9 assists, 3.5 steals and 2.6 blocked shots. In volleyball, she led the team in kills with 176 as they went 20-9 and reached the state quarterfinals. On the pitch, she's scored a team-leading 18 goals for the 9-1-1 Bulldogs.
Reniya Kelly, Hoover (Ala.)
5-8 | Guard | Class of 2023 | North Carolina StateThe school's all-time leading scorer with 2,272 points, Kelly led the Bucs to a 35-1 record and third straight 7A championship. She averaged 15.1 points, 4.9 rebounds, 5.0 assists and 2.4 steals this season. In her five seasons on varsity, Hoover posted a 168-10 record.
Kennedy Smith, Etiwanda (Calif.)
6-1 | Forward | Class of 2024 | UndecidedShe helped propel the Eagles to a CIF Open Division title, slicing through three top 10 teams — La Jolla Country Day, Sierra Canyon and Archbishop Mitty — in the span of a week. On the season, she averaged 24.6 points, 9.4 rebounds, 3.8 assists, 3.5 steals and 2.2 blocks for the 32-3 Eagles.

Kamorea "K.K" Arnold, Germantown (Wis.)
5-10 | Point guard | Class of 2023 | UConnAveraged 23.3 points, 7.7 rebounds, 7.7 assists and 3.3 steals for the 23-6 Warhawks. The Wisconsin Basketball Coaches Association Miss Basketball Award winner, Arnold finished her prep career with more than 2,400 points, nearly 700 assists and more than 500 steals along with a 2021 state title.
Milaysia Fulwiley, Keenan (Columbia, S.C.)
5-7 | Guard | Class of 2023 | South CarolinaShowed during the McDonald's All American Game she can hit from anywhere on the floor. She scored 17, including a trio of NBA-range 3-pointers. On the season, she helped the Raiders to a 19-7 record and Class AA semifinals appearance. She averaged 24.8 points, 8.1 rebounds, 6.4 assists, 6.0 steals and 2.6 blocks on the year.
Tessa Johnson, St. Michael-Albertville (Albertville, Minn.)
5-11 | Guard | Class of 2023 | South CarolinaJoining Fulwiley in college, Johnson showed out during the 71-70 Class AAAA title-game win over perennial national power Hopkins. She finished with 27 points and 10 rebounds as the Knights
became the first school in state history to win a championship in three
classes. She dropped a school-record 51 points earlier this season and averaged more than 24 points, six assists and five rebounds per game.
Madisen McDaniel, Bishop McNamara (Forestville, Md.)
5-7 | Point guard | Class of 2024 | UndecidedWinning Washington Catholic Athletic Conference Player of the Year honors is a feather in the cap for McDaniel considering it's among the toughest leagues in the country. She helped the Mustangs to an unbeaten conference record and 21-6 mark overall as she averaged 18.6 points, 4.3 rebounds, 5.2 steals and 5.4 assists.
Sarah Strong, Grace Christian (Sanford, N.C.)
6-2 | Forward | Class of 2024 | UndecidedThe MaxPreps North Carolina Player of the Year led the Crusaders to a 32-3 record and the NCISAA Class 2A state title. She averaged 22.6 points, 13.9 rebounds, 4.4 assists, 3.4 steals and 2.2 blocked shots per game. Her mother Allison Feaster-Strong played 10 years in the NBA.

Dee Alexander, Purcell Marian (Cincinnati)
6-1 | Forward | Class of 2025 | UndecidedShe was the second sophomore to win Miss Ohio Basketball and averaged 25.8 points, 9.6 rebounds, 2.9 assists and 2.5 steals per game. Alexander had 28 points (including 24 in the second half), 13 rebounds and 6 assists in the Division II regional championship win that sent Purcell Marian to the state Final Four for the third consecutive year.
Madison Booker, Germantown (Madison, Miss.)
6-1 | Forward | Class of 2023 | TexasHeaded to Austin after a stellar prep career, she averaged 20.0 points, 8.0 rebounds and 2.8 assists this season for the 29-2 Mavericks. The Class 6A Miss Basketball award winner guided Germantown to a state title, the school's first.
Chloe Clardy, Conway (Ark.)
5-9 | Guard | Class of 2023 | StanfordCapped career with a state title, pouring in 20 as the Wampus Cats beat North Little Rock 62-53 for the 6A crown. Conway averaged more than 24 points, six rebounds and four assists per game on the season. She finished with more than 2,500 points in her career as Conway finished the season 28-5 and No. 19 in the MaxPreps Top 25.
Jazzy Davidson, Clackamas (Ore.)
6-1 | Forward | Class of 2025 | UndecidedOne of three sophomores on the MaxPreps All-American Team, she helped the Cavaliers to a 26-4 record and the Class 6A state championship. For the season, Davidson averaged 21.4 points, 7.1 rebounds, 2.8 steals and 2.5 assists per game. She was the Mt. Hood Conference Player of the Year and helped Clackamas go unbeaten against in-state competition en route to the program's first state crown.

While her season is still unfinished, the Crusaders' floor general has led her team to a 22-2 record, the state's Federation Class AA title and a No. 2 rank in the MaxPreps Top 25 as they head to the GEICO Nationals. For the season, Heckel averaged 16.2 points, 6.5 assists and 3.7 steals per game on a team with five players in double figures.
Kymora Johnson, St. Anne's-Belfield (Charlottesville, Va.)
5-8 | Guard | Class of 2023 | VirginiaHelped the Saints go 27-2 and reach the VISAA Division I state championship game. For the season, Johnson averaged 23.9 points, 8 rebounds, 5.6 assists and 4.4 steals per game. She went 93-10 in five seasons with the program.
ZaKiyah Johnson, Sacred Heart (Louisville, Ky.)
6-1 | Forward | Class of 2025 | UndecidedLast year's MaxPreps National Freshman of the Year showed no signs of a sophomore letdown as she averaged 22.4 points, 8.2 rebounds and 2.0 steals in leading the Valkyries to a Kentucky state championship. Sacred Heart finished 37-3 against a national schedule and is No. 15 in the MaxPreps Top 25.
Jules LaMendola, Coppell (Coppell, Texas)
6-1 | Guard | Class of 2023 | IndianaLed the Cowboys to a 38-4 record and the Class 6A state semifinals where they fell to eventual champion Clark (San Antonio) on a buzzer-beater. The state tournament final four appearance was the first in school history. For the season, the future Hoosier averaged 17.4 points, 9.2 rebounds and 3.1 assists per game.
Courtney Ogden, Westminster (Atlanta)
6-1 | Guard | Class of 2023 | StanfordMcDonald's All American averaged 22.1 points, 8.8 rebounds, 3.1 assists and 2.7 steals per game. She finished her high school career with 1,666 points as the Wildcats went 22-8 this season and advanced to the second round of the Class AAAA state playoffs.
Natalie Potts, Incarnate Word Academy (St. Louis)
6-2 | Center | Class of 2023 | NebraskaPart of a core that's helped the Red Knights to 100 straight victories, she averaged 18.7 points, 7.4 rebounds and 2.9 assists per game this season as her squad went 32-0 and captured the Class 6 state title. Headed to Lincoln, she leaves behind a legacy that includes six straight state titles for IWA.
Taliah Scott, St. Johns Country Day (Orange Park, Fla.)
5-8 | Guard | Class of 2023 | ArkansasThe Spartans standout can flat-out fill it up. She averaged 36.2 points, 9.2 rebounds, 4.7 assists and 2.9 steals as her team went 19-6 overall. The McDonald's All American dropped at least 40 nine times and hit a high of 53 in late December. She never took a night off as her low-scoring output was 18.
Mjracle Sheppard, Montverde Academy (Montverde, Fla.)
5-9 | Guard | Class of 2023 | Mississippi StateBeing the leading scorer on the No. 1 team in the country is quite a feat considering the Eagles are loaded with Power 5 talent. Sheppard averaged 11.2 points, 3.2 assists, 5.5 rebounds, 4.7 steals for the 24-1 Eagles, who head to GEICO Nationals this weekend.
Sole Williams, Princeton (Cincinnati)
5-9 | Guard | Class of 2023 | Texas A&MLed the Vikings to the school's first state title since 2014, winning the Division I crown. She averaged 20.5 points, 3.7 steals, 3.4 rebounds and 3.2 assists for the 28-2 Vikings. In the title game, she scored 13 and dished out eight assists.
Kailey Woolston, Lone Peak (Highland, Utah)
5-11 | Guard | Class of 2023 | BYULed the Knights to a 23-3 record and second straight Class 6A state title. She was the catalyst for the team, averaging 20.7 points, 81 rebounds and 2.1 assists per game. She raised her game in the state tournament, averaging 25 points per game including 33 against Corner Canyon in the second round.
Allie Ziebell, Neenah (Wis.)
5-10 | Guard | Class of 2024 | UConnThe Rockets went 27-2 and reached the Division I quarterfinals behind her 25.5 points per night. Regarded as a top 10 prospect in the junior class, she added 8.6 rebounds, 4.5 assists and 2.0 steals per outing, including seven double-doubles and one triple-double.
