The regular season for most ranked teams comes to a close this week, outside the West Catholic Athletic League, making for some intriguing Week 10 showdowns for league championships.
This includes No. 3 Grant and No. 7 Jesuit meeting for the Delta League title at Jesuit on Saturday.

Result: Beat Amador Valley (Pleasanton) 56-0 behind running backs
Andrew Hernandez and
Antoine Custer and a dominating defense. The Spartans' unbeaten streak against Northern California competition since 1992 is 257 games. Other wins this season include ranked foes in Foothill, Del Oro, Serra and Jesuit from the North and Byrnes (South Carolina) from the East and Servite (Anaheim) from the South.

Result: Beat Oak Ridge 42-14 as the starters pitched a shutout and
Jake Browning tossed three touchdowns in steady rain to
Josiah Deguara.
Bailey Laolagi ran for two scores and
Sam Whitney had two sacks. The run game was led by
Tre Green (112 yards, a touchdown) and
Bryan Weldy (101 yards). Folsom's last two losses were to No. 1 De La Salle, in the NorCal Open in 2012 and 2013.

League: Delta
Result: Beat Davis 66-6 in allowing only a fumble return for a score.
Deshawn Collins rushed for 189 yards and two scores and
Mike Green II went for 89 and three and
Donovan Brown passed for 176 yards and accounted for three scores. Grant is in the playoffs for an ongoing Sac-Joaquin Section record 23rd consecutive season. Earlier wins include 26-19 over then No. 8 Elk Grove.

4. Milpitas (5) 8-0Section: Central Coast
League: Santa Clara Valley Athletic
Result: Beat previous No. 14 Los Gatos 27-21 as
Victor Rodriguez intercepted a late pass just shy of the end zone to seal it in emerging as the No. 2 team in the Bay Area. Milpitas had allowed just six points in four games combined coming in.

5. Foothill (Pleasanton) (7) 8-1Section: North Coast
League: East Bay Athletic
Result: Beat Granada (Livermore) 28-21 behind
Kyle Kearns to clinch a league title for the first time since 2006. The loss was to No. 1 De La Salle 56-21.

6. Clayton Valley Charter (Concord) (6) 9-0Section: North Coast
League: Diablo Valley
Result: The top-ranked NorCal Division II team beat Ygnacio Valley (Concord) 69-13.

Result: Beat Monterey Trail (Elk Grove) 28-21 as

Result: Lost to No. 13 Mitty 27-14. The other setbacks were to No. 1 De La Salle 41-13 and Notre Dame (Sherman Oaks) 24-14. Earlier win includes beating No. 9 Valley Christian.

Result: Beat St. Ignatius (San Francisco) 17-15 as
Michael Machado led a winning drive, capped by a
Nathan Parkin 22-yard field goal as time ran out to tighten up the ever-wild WCAL race. One loss was to No. 5 Milpitas.

League: West Catholic
Result: Beat Riordan (San Francisco) 28-15 to remain in first place in league play. An earlier win was 20-17 over No. 13 Mitty. The loss was to No. 9 Valley Christian.

12. St. Mary's (Stockton) (13) 8-1Section: Sac-Joaquin
League: Tri-City
Result: Beat Lodi 56-10 as
Noah Righetti and
Keaton Hampton led the charge. The loss was in double overtime to then-NorCal ranked St. Ignatius (San Francisco), 27-24, on a field goal after missing one from 35 yards out on the final play of regulation. A win includes No. 13 Los Gatos.

13. Los Gatos (14) 6-2Section: Central Coast
League: Santa Clara Valley Athletic
Result: Lost to No. 4 Milpitas 27-21 in testing a defense that had allowed six points in the previous four games combined. The loss was to No. 12 St. Mary's, 35-32, in a thriller as a game-winning drive stalled on the 1 late.
