With 14 home runs on the season, junior Rancho Bernardo catcher Alex Jackson leads the list of this year's MaxPreps Underclass All-Americans.

Alex Jackson of Rancho Bernardo (San Diego), Chris Andritsos of The Woodlands (Texas) and T.J. Collett of North Vigo (Terre Haute, Ind.) have been chosen as the top underclassmen in the country by MaxPreps.
Although Jack Flaherty of Harvard-Westlake is a junior, he has already received recognition as the
MaxPreps National Player of the Year. Thus in order to recognize other deserving players, Jackson has been chosen as the Junior Player of the Year. He led Rancho Bernardo to a San Diego Section title and is recognized as
one of the top prospects in next year's Major League Baseball draft. He belted 14 home runs this year and has 38 for his career.
Andritsos, the MaxPreps Sophomore of the Year, helped lead The Woodlands to a Texas Class 5A state championship with his pitching and his hitting. The Highlanders finished the season ranked No. 5 in the nation by MaxPreps and Andritsos ranked among the national leaders this year with 13 home runs.
Collett had a huge year at the plate for North Vigo while playing in arguably the toughest conference in Indiana. The MaxPreps Freshman Player of the Year batted .424 with 50 RBIs and nine home runs, to finish atop the MaxPreps national leaderboards for freshmen.
Underclass All-Americans are selected based on their performances during the 2013 season, not necessarily on their potential to play college or professional baseball.
