Showdowns in Austin and San Antonio involving four teams ranked in the MaxPreps Texas Top 25 highlight the Week 9 schedule.

The matchup between Westlake (Austin) and Lake Travis (Austin) likely will decide the District 14-6A title. Down I-35 in the San Antonio area, Steele (Cibolo) and Judson (Converse) will face off with the winner positioned to take the District 25-6A crown.

All four teams are unbeaten.

Westlake, featuring the passing of quarterback Sam Ehlinger, is ranked No. 6. Lake Travis (No. 8), replacing Westlake as the most decorated team from the Austin area in the last decade, has a talented quarterback of its own in Charlie Brewer.

No. 5 Steele and No. 13 Judson last season were state semifinalists in Divisions II and I, respectively. Running back Bryson Denley is the major weapon for Steele. Sophomore quarterback Julon Williams leads Judson.

With the victory streak at an even 50, the Eagles enjoyed an open date and face Flower Mound on the road Friday.

Travis Whillock had an interception return for a touchdown and Tony Mullins returned a punt for a score in a 55-0 rout of Morton Ranch (Katy), the Tigers' fourth shutout.

3. (3) Trinity (Euless) 8-0
Ja'Ron Wilson carried 31 times for 339 yards and three touchdowns in a dramatic 37-35 victory over Carroll (Southlake).

4. (4) Cedar Hill 7-0
Junior quarterback Avery Davis threw for 242 yards and two touchdowns in a 35-7 win over Grand Prairie.

5. (5) Steele (Cibolo) 8-0
Bryson Denley rushed for 132 yards and two touchdowns while Xavier Martin threw for two scores in a 47-3 crushing of New Braunfels.

6. (6) Westlake (Austin) 7-0
Sam Ehlinger threw for 369 yards and six touchdowns in a 55-3 blitz of Hays.

7. (7) Klein Collins (Spring) 7-0
Justin Pratt ran for 257 yards and four touchdowns, including a pair in the final eight minutes of a 28-14 win over rival Klein.

8. (8) Lake Travis (Austin) 7-0
Starting with Maleek Barkley's 97-yard touchdown return of the opening kickoff, the Cavaliers breezed to a 70-0 rout of Austin High.

9. (9) The Woodlands 6-1
Coming off an open date, the Highlanders will face Oak Ridge (Conroe) on Friday.

10. (11) Marcus (Flower Mound) 7-1
CJ Respass rushed for 234 yards and a pair of touchdowns in a 41-20 triumph over Plano East.

11. (12) Manvel 6-1
D'Eriq King threw for 242 yards and four touchdowns in a 73-7 mashing of Alvin.

12. (13) Cedar Park 7-0
Mak Sexton threw for 218 yards and four touchdowns in a 58-45 subduing of Vandegrift (Austin).

13. (14) Judson (Converse) 7-0
The Rockets come off an open date to face Steele (Cibolo) in a District 25-6A showdown on Friday.

14. (15) Carroll (Southlake) 5-2
Mason Holmes threw for 222 yards and three touchdowns, but came up short in a 37-35 loss to Trinity (Euless) in a District 7-6A showdown.

Connor Blumrick threw for three touchdowns as the Oilers rolled 72-0 over Rayburn (Pasadena).

16. (17) Dickinson 7-0
Jordan Myers rushed for 176 yards and three touchdowns in a 42-7 blasting of Brazoswood (Clute).

17. (19) George Ranch (Richmond) 7-0
Antonio Jackson threw only seven passes but two went for touchdowns in a 31-14 victory over Angleton.

18. (NR) Permian (Odessa) 7-0
Brandon Bailey rushed for 173 yards and three touchdowns in a 37-17 victory over Abilene.

19. (21) Lake Ridge (Mansfield) 7-0
Gerard McClain carried six times and four turned into touchdowns in a 48-24 felling of Red Oak.

20. (18) Ryan (Denton) 7-0
Spencer Sanders connected with Gabriel Dougals for the go-ahead score with 5:05 remaining in a 24-21 victory over Fossil Ridge (Keller).

21. (10) Westfield (Houston) 5-2
Dillon Sterling-Cole hooked up with Tyrie Cleveland for three touchdown passes in a 41-20 win over Klein Oak (Spring).

22. (23) Reagan (San Antonio) 8-0
Kellen Mond threw for 218 yards and four touchdowns in a 51-40 takedown of Churchill (San Antonio).

23. (24) Cinco Ranch (Katy) 7-0
Russell Morrison connected with Colby Bradshaw on a 41-yard touchdown pass with a minute remaining in a 24-20 win over Taylor (Katy).

24. (NR) Crosby 7-0
Mannie Netherly returned a kickoff 82 yards for a score and followed it with a 12-yard touchdown run in a 30-20 win over Dayton.

25. (NR) Mansfield Summit (Arlington) 7-0
Braden Nolen threw for three scores and rushed for 84 yards in a 49-7 romp over Seguin (Arlington).
