The 2021 high school football season in North Dakota kicks off next week and MaxPreps has your look at the state's top teams. After winning its third consecutive Class A state title last year, Langdon/Edmore/Munich owns the top spot in our preseason rankings.
L/E/M has been virtually unstoppable over the past four seasons, compiling a 49-1 record and winning state championships in 2018, 2019 and 2020. The Cardinals won every game last fall by 17 points or more and haven't lost since November of 2017.
In addition to Langdon/Edmore/Munich, defending 11-man state champions include Century in AAA, which checks in at No. 3 in the preseason rankings, and St. Mary's in AA, which is No. 2. All three defending state champions went unbeaten in 2020.
