After Santa Margarita had taken a 36-30 lead with 6:52 remaining in the 2011 Division I Bowl Game,
Bellarmine (San Jose) embarked on a 13-play drive that covered 74 yards and ate up five minutes off the clock. Justin Taliaferro scored the touchdown on a 1-yard run to tie the game. The extra point gave Bellarmine the 37-36 lead with 1:46 remaining. The touchdown looked like it might give Bellarmine the win over Santa Margarita. However Santa Margarita's Johnny Stanton had other ideas (See No. 1).
