MaxPreps California Regional Bowl Game Matchups

The first week of the postseason usually doesn't result in many changes for the MaxPreps California Regional Bowl Game matchups, at least that was true for the North last week.

Of the 10 new teams added to this week's matchups, only three of them were from the North. One of those was Folsom, which is currently predicted to meet De La Salle in the NorCal 1AA regional. Folsom takes the place of St. Mary's.

The Southern Section had seven new teams this week, topped by Murrieta Valley of the Southern Section Division 2.

MaxPreps determines its regional matchup predictions based on the MaxPreps Computer Rankings presented by the Army National Guard. Care is also taken to avoid regional matchups between teams from the same section when possible. The team's record from this year and its current computer ranking are included in the regional matchups.
