The Freedom C Cowboys are on the road again on Saturday and play against the Tennessee Heat at 12:00 p.m. on November 4th. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Freedom C is ranked highly in their home state, and on Friday they took on another highly ranked team in the form of Tri-Cities Christian. Freedom C put the hurt on Tri-Cities Christian with a sharp 56-32 victory. The win was just what Freedom C needed coming off of a 46-14 defeat in their prior contest.
Meanwhile, Tennessee Heat had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 44 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They blew past Sacred Heart of Jesus 41-6 on the road. With Tennessee Heat ahead 22-0 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.
Tennessee Heat found their leader in underclassman Wyatt Sutton, who picked up 77 receiving yards and three touchdowns, and also punched in two touchdowns on the ground. Another player making a difference was Luke Mathews, who threw for 100 yards and three touchdowns.
Tennessee Heat's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB four times. Sacred Heart of Jesus' QB won't forget Nate Williams anytime soon given Williams sacked him four times.
Freedom C's win bumped their record up to 5-5. As for Tennessee Heat, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season.
Freedom C took a serious blow against Tennessee Heat when the teams last played two weeks ago, falling 46-14. Can Freedom C avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
