Game-winning field goals at the high school level are rather uncommon.
So are announcers who display the type excitement heard in this video, a clip from an October game in which
Marist (Chicago, Ill.) downed
St. Patrick (Chicago, Ill.) 31-28 on a 36-yard field goal.
After the kick sails through the uprights, the announcer correctly called the kick good. Then in dramatic fashion, he screamed "PYROTECHNICS!"
That's the kind of passion and "fire" only found in football at the high school level, folks.
