Video: Jacob Frazier's higlights vs. Tomball High School
Watch the Magnolia quarterback throw for 10 TDs and 665 yards in a 75-54 win over Tomball.
Prior to the start of the 2016 football season, a Texas quarterback had thrown 10 touchdown passes in a game only once in the nearly 100-year history of Texas football.
In the past three weeks, it's happened twice.
Jacob Frazier of Magnolia was the latest to join the list as he threw 10 touchdown passes in a 75-54 win over Tomball. He completed 39-of-48 passes for 665 yards as well, with the yardage total ranking No. 4 in Texas history according to Texas High School Football History.
Three weeks ago, Jake Smith of Bishop Gorman (Tyler) also threw 10 touchdowns in a 91-71 win over Ore City.
Frazier's performance highlights this week's National High School Football Stat Stars. Joining him on the list are his two receivers, Michael Woods and Reese Mason. Woods had the second highest receiving yardage total of the week with 291 yards while Mason was fourth with 275 yards. Woods caught four of Frazier's touchdown passes and Mason caught five.
Meanwhile Zach Davis of Sheehan (Wallingford, Conn.) had the fifth highest single game rushing yardage total in state history with a 486-yard effort against Guilford. According to the Connecticut High School Football Record Book, compiled by Gerry DeSimas, the state record is 526 yards by Jeremiah Crowley of Montville.
